Barbet – The French Water Dog – joyous, resolute, and rare
The Barbet is a wonderful, medium sized non-shedding breed that is extremely rare in the USA. There are approximately 60 dogs at this time. Full of joie de vivre, the Barbet makes a fantastic family companion.

BIS Can/UKC Ch. Neigenuveaux's Ermagarde (Claire) We are so pleased and proud to announce that Claire is the first ever Best in Show winning Barbet in the UKC. Claire also finished her championship in September 2010. Claire's UKC show record to date: 5 shows: 1 Best in Show, 3 Group 1, 1 Group 4 and UKC Champion Claire completed her Canadian Championship in 2011 in 5 shows. She earned 4 majors, including a 4 point win with her Best of Breed win over several Specials on the first day of the Purina Canadian National Dog Show. Claire won the points as Winners Bitch 5 out of 6 times shown in Canada in very tough competition, always owner handled. She is the only American bitch to be finished in Canada. We are so proud of Claire.
